The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering has been sanctioned with Research Center by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada. They officially received the letter of sanction from JNTUK yesterday (09-11-17). Out of all the Private Engineering colleges established in this decade by the then-United Andhra Pradesh, VVIT is the Only Engineering College that has been received with this rear achievement of being sanctioned with Research Centre.

VVIT always ponder over the all round performance of their students and faculty by motivating them towards research & development that helps in the progress of our society. He said VVIT frequently conducts workshops, seminars & Faculty Development Programs to all students and faculty to spur the research instinct in them. Faculty members of VVIT are always ready to enhance their teaching-learning and research-development  facilities for the benefit of their stake holders and know very well how to utilize the available resources in a meticulous way.

Dr. Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy, Principal, who is also a Professor, in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, attributed this achievement to the Scholarly Doctorates and Senior Research Scholars in their department and the invaluable Research Facilities established by the magnanimous VVIT management. Dr.Reddy, stated that this research center shall cater to the needs of an innovative and multi-disciplinary research.

Dr.Giri Babu Kande, Head of the Department of ECE, for which the research centre has been sanctioned, stated that this will open a new path to endeavor to constructive & innovative research for the novice researchers. He said that this JNTUK Research Center is also entitled for full time research. Dr.Giri Babu, informed that the JNTU Kakinda, constituted high power research center inspection committee visited, their Department on the month of October and sanctioned yesterday.
